This property is located just 5 minutes South of the Airport and 10 minutes from the main village this lovely, three-level waterfront property would make an excellent full-time residence while offering income rental potential too!
There are a few more homes in this area but it stays quiet all day and night. Properties South of the airport utilizes solar for power rain catchment. This house has enough solar panels to keep both residential floors running sufficiently along with two large rainwater catchment vats. The foundation of this property is cement with cement posts and beams on the ground floor, but both second and third floor has a wooden framing and hardwood sidings. The ground floor houses the bodega and a room that can be turned into a studio apartment with a little work and to the side is a drive-up garage, big enough for a golf cart.
Outside stairs take you up to the second and third floor, each level each has its own private entrance. The second floor has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a larger room which currently has three double beds. This space can be converted into a living, dining, kitchen or left as is for large groups. There are screened glass windows on this floor, to let in the light and breeze.
The bedrooms allow access to the private, covered, screened veranda, allowing for extra indoor/outdoor living space.
On the third floor, you enter an open plan ‘U’ shaped living/kitchen/dining/bedroom area. The kitchen is small and modestly equipped and leads you to the dining area and dining table that seats six. Two glass sliding patio doors face the Eastern side of the floorplan to allow clear and pristine views of the sea.
So, whether enjoying a formal dinner with friends in the dining space or relaxing on the bamboo sofa set in the living area the picturesque views will keep you in awe.
Two double beds occupy the South part of this U Shape living space. The current owners enjoy this open plan feel but a wall can easily be put in place, turning into a one-bedroom for privacy. The windows on this floor are all screened. The bathroom is nicely tiled and has a nice size shower cubicle, toilet, and washbasin.
There is also a large owner’s closet allowing ample space for storage. A large veranda facing the East completes this floor again offering that million-dollar view of the azure sea for miles and Belize’s beautiful barrier reef in the distance. This veranda leads up to a rooftop crow’s nest where you will enjoy more spectacular, panoramic views of the island and excellent spot to stargaze at night. You will catch sunset up here and really feel like you are in another world, away from it all as you enjoy the ambiance of your beautiful surroundings.
